Guyana `s Under-15 girls team suffered mixed fortunes as the Caribbean Junior Table tennis Championships continued yesterday in Puerto Rico.
According to reports coming out of the island, Guyana’s Under-15 team spearheaded by new Caribbean Under-13 girls’ champion Chelsea Edghill defeated Aruba 3-0 but lost 1-3 to Trinidad.
Edghill won the lone match against Trinidad after losing to nemesis Catherine Spicer 2-3.
Meanwhile, the Under-15 boys’ team after blanking St Maarten and Aruba by 3-0 margins were eliminated after losing 1-3 to Jamaica and Santo Domingo respectively with Denzel Duff picking up one game against Jamaica and Santo Domingo respectively.
