Dear Editor,
Again the management of Starlite Drive-In, promoters and sponsors of shows, have beaten and broken those of us living in Atlantic Gardens and Happy Acres twice in one holiday weekend.
Today is Tuesday, April 6, and as I write from my office my body aches, my eyes burn and I feel restless, just as my compatriots in Atlantic Gardens and Happy Acres do. I just cannot produce as effectively as normal. How can the employees of companies and government function in these circumstances?
On Saturday, April 3, the Starlite had a disgustingly noisy show, which lasted to nearly 3am. On Easter Monday, the noise started from 2pm. If the police had not intervened at 2am and stopped the show, they presumably would have gone on.
My nephew is studying medicine and was at his wits end to study; my daughter had an examination at UG on Tuesday 6th. Instead she was disturbed all night and twice for the weekend, and went to her exams tired, disturbed and with a migraine.
Yours faithfully,
Roshan Khan
Chairman
