In the 15 years and under Kumite category Kumar won from his brother Nicholas while Kwakwani’s Barker triumphed ahead of Nicholas Rambasari and Victor Burnett who were second and third respectively.
In the Open self defence competition Burnett representing the Institute of Business Education (IBE) won from Neil Kumar and Julian Amerally.
According to organizer of the competition Ganesh Babulall, the association is preparing to send teams to the Tiger Claw International tournament in Trinidad in June this year.
Babulall said he was indebted to sponsors IBE, Billy’s taxi Service and the KUI office in Kwakwani for the successful staging of the championships.
