The second match in the inaugural Golyn and Sons 20-over softball competition will take place tonight at the world famous Georgetown Cricket Club Ground (GCC), Bourda, between Stabroek Market and Fashion Store of Robb Street.
The action is set to get cracking from 19:00hrs and the Fashion Store will be looking for redemption against the boys from Stabroek Market after they were beaten by a thrilling two-wicket margin at the same venue several days ago.
Trophies for the victorious team and Man-of-the-Match are up for grabs.
Fashion Store of Robb Street will again be banking on their skipper and all-rounder Ravi Narine, while he can expect support from the inform opener Ryan Chung, Derick Persaud, Safraz Ally and Mahendra Raj Boodhoo to put in a more solid effort.
The Ryan Boodhoo-led Stabroek Market team will be anxious to keep their winning way intact. However, reflecting on what had transpired in the previous encounter, Stabroek Market struggled in every department occasionally, but they were indebted to Eon Khan for a responsible half-century.
Man-of-the-Match Khan will be missing this confrontation owing to an overseas commitment, while they will now be pinning their hopes on their skipper, the veteran all-rounder Saif Hussain, Rickey Dukhi, Vicky Sookoo, Basdeo Persaud and Jagdeo to make a big impression in all aspects of the game.
