Tracy Douglas was elected the new president of the Guyana Arts and Craft Producers Association when the body held its third elections on March 30.
The elections were held in the boardroom of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Commerce, according to a release from the association. In addition to Douglas, the executive includes Shefetah Tzedeq, who is the vice president; Samantha Corlette, general secretary; Patricia Helwiz, public relations officer; Irene Bacchus-Holder, treasurer; and Richard Winter, assistant secretary/ treasurer.
Meanwhile, the association also extended its gratitude to the sponsors of its walkathon, which was held in March. Sponsors were Bounty Supermarket, ADL Supermarket, Nedd’s Sons and Daughters Bakery.
