Davanand Rambarran of Vriesland, West Bank Demerara yesterday pleaded not guilty to trafficking in narcotics when he appeared before Magistrate Nayasha Williams-Hatmin at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrates’ Court.
Rambarran was remanded to jail and is to make his next appearance on April 15. According to a release from the police, Rambarran was arrested and charged after the police, acting on information, searched his house and found 9 kilogrammes of compressed in the vicinity of his home.
