Boxers last Monday inked their contracts for the next installment of Friday Night Fights which has been rescheduled to May 2, at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The bouts were originally set for April 30, but due to the hosting of the ICC World T20 championships on that date they were postponed. A number of professional and amateur cards are slated for the evening.
In the junior lightweight category, Laurex Benn will go up against Michael Demattos in the first of four professional bouts, followed by a catchweight card between the heavy-hitting Sharon Ward and Pauline London.
Kwesi Jones will thrash it out with James Walcott in a junior welterweight match-up; then in the final professional bout Theophilus King will challenge the experienced Leon Gilkes.
Four amateur fights are scheduled to be staged prior to the professional card. The first amateur bout will be a junior flyweight clash between Moolchan Sankar and Herlando Allicock. This will be followed by lightweight boxer Clairmont Gibson going against Nankumar Singh then by a junior welterweight bout between Akeem Alexander and David Thomas.
In the final amateur fight Romeo Norville will battle it out with Sherwin Clarke in the lightweight category.
