The Critchlow Labour College is preparing to recommence its educational programmes next month.
The college held a meeting in its boardroom on Thursday with past lecturers and continuing students. According to a statement from the college, one of the main objectives was the resuscitation of the one year Industrial and Social Studies (ISS) course. The meeting was chaired by current college principal Ivor English, who was assisted by Dr. Aubrey Gill.
It is envisioned that with the adoption of new and improved strategies, which is integral to improvements in administration, benefits will be derived for past, continuing and new students, the release said.
The lecturers present indicated their commitment and eagerness to complete their current courses and students expressed anticipation for courses set to resume on May 17.
Further, the CCL intends to seek enrolment for their Legal, Municipal, Secretarial and Court Clerks Certification Program, which will begin when the college reopens and will be coordinated by Dr. Gill. Brochures on the course will be disseminated shortly to various organisations. Interested persons can also obtain information from the college’s Woolford Avenue office.
Meanwhile, the college will continue to offer its traditional short professional courses. Further plans are to have an informal presentation and opening ceremony which will be held in the college’s auditorium during the last week in April, to coincide with May Day celebrations.
