According to a release from the police, investigations revealed that around 2 am yesterday the deceased, called ‘Shine Rice,’ was involved in an argument with another man during which he was chopped about the body. The man was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahdia Hospital.
In another development, the police stated, the proprietress of the place where the men were staying, left the area to make a report at the Mahdia Police Station and upon returning with the police, she discovered that her building had been destroyed by fire.
Four men are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
