Local boxing promoter Carwyn Holland is set to call the action when the bell tolls for the Ria Ramnarine/Etsuko Tada world title fight next Saturday in Trinidad & Tobago.
Holland will be accompanied by Trinidadian broadcaster Rusten Marks. The Caribbean Media Corporation will be teaming up with CMG TV in Trinidad to air he event.
The fight which is dubbed Street-fighter versus Ria will take place at the Jean Pierre Stadium for WBA female minimumweight and interim WIBA Women’s Inter-national Boxing Association (WIBA) minimumweight titles.
Former multi-year amateur champ Tada who used to be a street fighter won a world title when she fought her fifth professional fight.
Tada has promised to successfully defend her crown and is not bothered about where Ramnarine is training or what she has to bring to the ring on fight night.
Ramnarine has been training at the Bonnie Canino Gym in Florida and promised not to let down her home fans.
