Shawn Morgan of Dowding Street, Kitty, was yesterday remanded to prison when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court accused of being found with a gun and a quantity of ammunition in his possession.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges of unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition when Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton read them to him.
He denied that on April 16, he had a .357 Magnum revolver, 23 rounds of .357 ammunition and 20 rounds of.32 ammunition in his possession without having a firearm licence in force at the time.
Prosecutor Joel Ricknauth requested that Morgan be remanded to prison and that a date be set for his trial.
Morgan is expected to make another court appearance on June 30.
