The Rotary Club of Stabroek recently handed over a cheque to the Bagotsville branch of the National Library in support of its expansion plans. According to a press release, the club launched a partnership with the library and Bagotsville Concerned Citizens Group in 2006. The partnership aims to boost the literacy and numeracy skills of children from the community as well as those from Nismes and La Grange.
The Bagotsville citizens group views expanding the library as an important step toward boosting education in the classroom and giving children more opportunities to learn.
As such the partnership will continue to seek ways of advancing the children’s literacy skills in order to boost their intellectual abilities.
