Police at Corentyne yesterday recovered an unlicensed pistol on a man accused of making threats.

A press release yesterday said that around 11:35 hrs the police responded to a report of threats made by the man of Ulverston Village, Corentyne during which a man was arrested at Port Mourant, Corentyne.

A search was conducted on the man by the police and an unlicensed 9 mm Browning pistol was found in his possession.

He is in custody and charges will be laid shortly.
