In yesterday’s edition in the article captioned “Ireland plans to give Group-D teams ‘a run for their money’”, Stabroek Sport incorrectly reported Irish players Niall and Kevin O’Brien as saying that the team had not won any of its three games at the last World Cup in the Caribbean in 2007.  The two cricketers were at the time referring to Ireland’s performance at the last ICC World Twenty20 championships held last year in England.

Stabroek Sport apologises for the error.
