The Guyana Police Force yesterday extended the traffic restrictions from Providence to Timehri to facilitate the three days of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Twenty/20 World Cup matches set to be played at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.

In a previous release the police had that said that the public roadway from Houston to Providence along the East Bank Demerara would be closed to all heavy duty and slow moving vehicles. Yesterday’s release said the road would be from Houston to Timehri instead today from 08:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs; on Monday from 06:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs and Tuesday from 06:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs.
