I hope this latest domestic violence incident sends a clear message to the relatives and friends of battered women that they too have a responsibility in relation to loved ones who are abused.
If only the relatives had stayed out of the victim’s business and allowed the law to run its course. There were numerous occasions when this could have been done and when the guy was arrested or the matter came up before the courts, but relatives kept advising her to go back to the abusive relationship. A similar situation was played out in the Ketley Street murder. Our womenfolk as well as their relatives must stop this foolish idea that they can change these guys. Oh no, that will not happen; abusers will never change.
