An evacuated patient being shaded by an umbrella. A patient being wheeled out of the compound as the fire raged. The fire was fiercest in the central section of the hospital. Thick smoke filled the air. A patient being lifted to safety by a policeman. A solitary hose in evidence at left as the building burned. A hose at right was no match for the flames. The smoke that billowed around 7am today before the fire erupted.Comments
