Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a salesman of more than half a million in cash at George and D’Urban streets yesterday morning.
Trevor Tatoon, a 32-year-old of Stewartville, was attacked by the two men at about 11.05 am. In a press statement issued last evening police said Tatoon was driving his motor vehicle and stopped at the location due to traffic. It was while Tatoon was at a standstill that the two men approached.
The armed man, police said, shot and shattered the left side front window of the car while the other man grabbed a bag containing $551,000. The men subsequently escaped. Investigations are continuing.
