Steven Embrack became the latest batsman to score a century when the 2009 New Building Society Second Division limited overs cricket competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board continued recently with several matches.
Playing for No. 65 opening batsman Embrack slammed an unbeaten 105 against Silver Star who scored 170-8 off 35 overs.
Embrack’s knock included 12 fours and two sixes and enabled his team to reach the target for the loss of just two wickets with 11.5 overs to spare.
At Courtland, Troy Matheson slammed 80 and Travis Williams a watchful 55 as Courtland defeated Chesney by 72 runs.
Courtland scored 221 for 7 in 30 overs before restricting Chesney to 149 with Delon Crandon taking 7 – 27 from six overs.
In other results, Jai Hind defeated Belvedere Super Stars by two wickets at Albion Front; D’ Edward Blazers beat Woodley Park Young Strikers by nine wickets at D’ Edward; Bath Development Centre defeated No. 2 by four wickets at Bath and Rose Hall Community Centre crushed Adelphi by 50 runs at Rose Hall, Canje.
