Action in the Berbice Football Association Coca Cola 2010 Knockout Tournament continues tomorrow at the Blairmont Community Centre Ground when Rosignol United goes head to head with Piston united at 4pm.
Rosignol will be spearheaded by Former National Under-16 player Garson Baker and Ron Caleb against Pistons who feature the likes of Brian Simpson, Sherlan Caesar and Eon ‘Sugar Boy’ Farley.
Sunday the competition continues with a scheduled double header at the same venue from 2pm as Monedderlust battles Strike Force and Cougars play Hopetown United at 4pm.
The tournament recently commenced with its first day of competition and saw New Amsterdam United demolishing Rosignol Warriors 12 – 0.
At half time Warriors were down by five goals, two of which belonged to Kelvin Joseph who scored in the 14th and 19th minutes. He was supported by Colin Bowry – fourth minute, Leonardo Adams – 20th minute and Adrian “Garnett” Adams – 33rd minute.
After the 15 minute break New Amsterdam immediately picked up from where they left off scoring in the 45th minute; that goal completed Joseph’s hat trick.
Adams then recorded his second goal the very next minute and completed his hat trick in the 63rd minute.
Delroy Ferdinand scored in the 60th for New Amsterdam then Adams scored in the 67th, 69th and 77th minutes to complete a helmet trick.
