Cabinet has given its no-objection to several contracts for community road rehabilitation projects across the country totalling over $300M dollars.
Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon said yesterday that government had cleared $350M for the contracts, but the actual sum awarded totalled $312M.
Luncheon said community roads are to be rehabilitated in Region Three to the tune of $181M; another project in Region Four has been cleared for some $81M and the road project in Region Five is for $50 million dollars.
