I refer to your news report on May 11 about a meeting you claimed I had with the potential investors in the Marriott Hotel project (‘Gov’t makes Grenadian developer ‘attractive offer’ to build Marriott’). For the record I wish to state that, at the request of Mr Winston White, a social friend of many years, we met at the Pegasus Hotel informally where I learnt the purpose of his visit to Guyana. During our interface which lasted less than 40 minutes, there was no discussion about the purported investment above and, in any event, it is not within my portfolio to undertake. At no time was Mr W Brassington present.
