The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Special Events Committee has organised a one-day cricketing clinic for junior cricketers in the ancient county. A total of 25 spin bowlers will be involved in the clinic which takes place tomorrow in an effort to improve their craft.
This is the second clinic to be organised by the BCB who successfully hosted a special clinic for 12 wicket keepers recently.
The spinners’ clinic will be held at the Area ‘H’ ground under the guidance of senior cricket coach Winston Smith and several Berbice senior national players.
The players named by the selection committee are Viendra Gooniah, Kumar Madray, Beesham Persaudie, Mark Lionel, Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai, Daniel Lewis, Leon Andrew, Mahendra Mangal, Kevin Ramdeen, Linden Austin, Verapen Permaul, Shailendra Shameer, Shawn Perreira, Loydel Lewis, Bhoopnarine Persaud, Avinash Wajid, Sherwin Mc Pherson, Jamal La Fleur, Harrinarine Chattergoon, Dominic Rickey, Malvern Williams, Mahesh Naidoo, Parmanand Narine, Delvin Baldeo and Chetram Naurang.
All the players are asked to report to the ground on tomorrow at 11:00hrs with their white playing uniform and cricketing gear.
