This week we asked the man and woman in the street their thoughts on the ICC 20/20 series.
Noel Bobb, private sector
It was a wonderful series and it’s a game where most of the players have to show their potential. My team is the West Indies and their performance to me was average. Some of the players didn’t perform the way they were supposed to. I have Australia to win the series.
The most exciting match to me for the series was the Australia vs Pakistan game. I didn’t expect Australia to actually win the match. I am definitely looking forward to all the tournaments next year.

I think it has been a pretty good series and I like what I have been seeing. I have England to win the series. Australia is the number one team and my favourite player is Kevin Pietersen. I didn’t enjoy the West Indies matches. I expected more from them but they are bringing the same old thing.
I had Sri Lanka or England to make it to the finals at least one of them did. I really do hope they win the series.

It was a great series of cricket that was entertaining and nice and short with lots of excitement. The West Indies was my favourite team until they got knocked out. I am hoping that England being the underdog win the series.
My most exciting match was when the West Indies beat India to make it to the super eights. I am looking forward to next year’s match and the West Indies making it further than the super eights. I am a diehard West Indian fan.

I think it was a wonderful series which was well hosted by all the countries. What made the game that Guyana hosted more exciting is that unlike the 2007 world cup, this 20/20 series allowed persons into the stadium with their own stuff. It made the games much more enjoyable.
My favourite team is the West Indies. I think that they have performed at their best. We had a very good team. I think they did not play the way they expected to because of the pressure of being the home team.
Australia is now my favourite team and the most exciting match was the one between them and Pakistan and I know that they will win the series.

It was an okay series. My favourite team is the West Indies. I think their performance was great but not in the last game. The West Indies and England match was the most exciting to me and I hope England win the series.
Overall the games were great since it is a part of our culture. I am looking forward to next year’s game and I hope West Indies will go on to be in the finals and win.

I have been following the series somewhat. My thing is the West Indies team does not fully understand the nature of the incident. They win by chance. The Australia/Pakistan game told me that the Australians were reading the game and the West Indies should take some time and learn the nature of the game like Australia.
Maybe they have been in the game so long that they are taking things for granted because many times you have to wait until the last ball bowl to know if they are going to win or lose a match.
The 20/20 series is good. It is exciting and short. The lengthy five day series and all the others make me lose track but the 20/20 you can enjoy the game and it is not as long.

It is an entertaining game and it brings far more fans into the sport than the usual 50 overs or 5 day matches. Mostly you don’t find people going to the long matches as much as they do the 20/20.
Australia is my favourite team and up to now they have been undefeated except that one time in the warm up matches. They teach me as a cricketer that I have to be focused and disciplined in order to be successful and of course they are going to win the series.

Australia is the winner of the series that is without doubt. The fans have seen that they have delivered when they played Pakistan in the semi-finals which to me was the most exciting match of the series.
It was a very good ICC 20/20 series as it was entertaining for the fans. I know for sure that Australia will win. But it is real heartbreaking that the West Indies has not been delivering. There needs to be more stern selection and they need to take a page out of the book of the Aussies on how to deliver and play.

The Australia/ Pakistan match was the most exciting game for me in the series. Australia is the strongest and the one that will win the series. I had the West Indies as the number one team so when they lost I had to choose the Australians because they are a strong team and they will win the series.
Generally it was a good series with good sixes, good fours, and good fielding and I’m looking forward to the West Indies pulling up their socks. The captain had told the fans that he was sorry but they need to do better.

I like cricket but I have not had a chance to watch the 20/20 series. I like all teams I don’t really have a favourite. Because I work all day when I get home I don’t get a chance to catch the replays of the match. I heard that Australia and England are in the finals I am hoping that England wins the match.
