World ranked number six rated super bantamweight boxer Leon “Hurry Up” Moore is heading to the United States of America (USA) for a short training stint. Moore has been sidelined with a hand injury since January and was forced to settle for light training in an effort to keep fit.
Moore injured his left hand during his last fight in Singapore when he captured the Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA) title by defeating Indonesian power puncher Marangin Marbun.
Since his return, however, the Agricola star has been receiving treatment at the Eureka Laboratory by Doctor Trevor Joseph.
Only Jamaican light heavyweight boxer Glen Johnson and Canadian based Guyanese cruiserweight Troy Ross are rated higher than Moore on the world stage.
His record stands at 26 wins with 22 kayos and two losses. While in the USA Moore is expected to visit several gyms and according to his manager Carwyn Holland, he will explore the possibility of Moore getting further medical advice on his hand.
Moore sparred two sessions with “Deadly” Denny Dalton on Monday and Tuesday and according to the boxer, he hardly felt any pain but will continue to take it easy until the pain is gone.
