The police yesterday found an unlicensed gun with matching rounds and two masks in a car that was stopped at Cemetery Road, Rose Hall, Corentyne. Five men are in custody assisting with investigations.

According to a police press release, around 0615 hours ranks of a mobile police patrol stopped and searched motor car HB 7759 during which the unlicensed .38 revolver with six rounds along with the two toque masks were found.

The motor car has since been detained by the police.
