An accident at around 10.30 pm yesterday at Silver Hill, Linden/Soesdyke Highway claimed the life of one man and left another injured.
The dead man has been identified as Damian Lindon of Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden. He was the driver of a black Toyota Allion taxi when the accident occurred.
The injured man has been identified as Kemal McAlmont, also of Wisroc Housing Scheme. He was a passenger in the vehicle and is now a patient of the Mackenzie Hospital.
McAlmont related last night how he had originally been driving a Dodge Ram which subsequently had a tyre blow-out. He then engaged the services of Lindon. He had no recollection of how the accident occurred. No other vehicle appeared to have been involved in the incident.
