Dear Editor,
Whenever I strike a foreign match I curse those responsible for closing the Guyana Match Factory. Editor, these imported safety matches are so safe that most times I have to strike three sticks to get one light. The first head will flake out, the second would do the same and the stick would break in two.
On rainy days the matchbox will draw the moisture and in that case I have to use three different boxes to strike a light. Well, I guess they are safety matches after all.
Yours faithfully,
W P George
