It will either be Tarrus Riley of “Love is Contagious” and “She’s Royal” fame or Gyptian, singer of the now popular “Hold Yuh” who will headline the first summer concert in July but it is left up to fans of the two men to ensure which one it will be.

Wildfire Entertainment (WE) will soon introduce a voting system via cell phones through which fans can vote for their favourite; whoever grabs the most votes will be in Guyana on July 3.

A release from WE, a subdivision of Wildfire Productions, said the concert will be held under the heading ‘Temperature’.

The organisation, which has five men as its backbone, will team up with Digicel to have a text promotion to select the artiste for the night and fans will soon be given details through the media.

“We have always been the pioneer in marketing our events in the past and now we have another creative and interactive promotion to select the artist for the show. We are planning to bring either Tarrus Riley or Gyptian and it is now up to the Guyanese people to decide who they want to see,” said Jonathan Beepat, Chief Executive Officer of the organsiation.

The concert will also see local acts in the likes of Spida Man, Mystic and Ilaman, all out of Brutal Tracks Recording Studio, along with two new artistes who are based overseas and will soon be announced at press conference.

WE promises that it has contracted some reliable and professional contractors to provide sound, stage and lighting for the concert for which tickets will cost $2,500.
