The National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue will today be a hive of activity when Richard Mittelholzer also known as “Saddist” stages a 36-team one-day 20/20 domino spectacular.
Unlike the longer format today’s event will see sittings consisting of four instead of the usual six games.
The competition, though, will stick with its usual two teams in, one out format.
Entrance fee per team is $12000 and a host of attractive prizes are at stake.
According to the organizers, the winning team will receive $200,000 and a trophy along with six gold medals while the runners up will receive $100,000, a trophy and six silver medals.
The third place team will receive $50,000, a trophy and six bronze medals and the team placing fourth $24,000.
There will be the sum of $5000 for the Most Valuable Player.
