Guyana Water Incorporated wishes to respond to your letter, dated Thursday May 27 and titled ‘GWI has not repaired four leaks at back of Atlantic Gardens.’ Firstly, we wish to offer an apology to Mr J Kadaru for the leaks which remained untended at Atlantic Gardens. Please be advised that the leaks were repaired on Thursday, May 27, 2010.
GWI accepts full responsibility for the slow response time to the leaks described in Mr Kadaru’s letter. Measures were implemented to avoid a recurrence.
GWI wishes to reiterate our commitment to rectifying all leaks with the aim of maintaining and improving levels of service. Our leakage strategy continues to be a priority and consistent improvements are being implemented to fill gaps.
