Local vintner Warren Douglas will host two wine tastings next week under the theme ‘Let’s Toast to Dad’, in the run-up to Father’s Day.
The first, on Friday, June 18, will be held at the Sidewalk Café, Middle Street from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The second on the next day, Saturday June 19, also from 5 to 8 pm, will be held at the Dutch Bottle Café, North Road.
The tastings are $1,000 a round and the wines cost $2,000 and $700 a bottle.
Warren, who with his wife Tracy own and manage Pandama Retreat on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway, has been producing Pandama wines since last year. The fruit wines include Cherry, Jamoon, Plum, Pineapple, Gooseberry, Five Finger and Auntie Desma. They are usually available at N & S Mattai and other fine supermarkets and stores.
