-Aracari Beach Volleyball Classic
Young Achievers ‘B’ volleyball team lived up to its name by achieving a spot in the semi-finals of the Aracari Beach Volleyball Classic after spiking out their competitors when the tournament continued Saturday at the Aracari Resort.
Young Achievers became the second team to reach the semi-finals when they claimed the top spot on the second day of the weekly tournament by demolishing all three of their Group Two counterparts to remain unbeaten at the end of the day.
Young Achievers ‘B’ started their winning campaign in the first match Saturday by trouncing Spirited 21-15, 21-13.
They made it back-to-back wins by first defeating Port Mourant ‘A’ 21-16, 21-16, and ended the day by thrashing Anna Catherina 21-9, 21-6.
The Spirited side showed some spirit by winning their remaining two matches.
They defeated Anna Catherina 21-19, 21-11 and then managed to avoid a game three by ousting Port Mourant, 21-14, 22-20.
Port Mourant ended the day with one win against Anna Catherina which they won 21-15, 21-15.
The tournament continues Saturday with the Group Three matches at the Aracari Resort.
