The Region Three Department of Education has acquired a new 15-seater bus which will ease its transportation woes and will be a boost to its truancy campaign.
Regional Education Officer Marlyn Jones-O’Donoghue said the bus was purchased through the region’s capital budget. According to a press release she also said transportation has always been a bugbear and the bus will be a fillip to the truancy campaign as well as team visits to schools. It will also be used to facilitate the school feeding programme, the distribution of learning materials and other school supplies.
