The third semi-finalist of the Aracari Beach Volleyball Classic was decided yesterday when the Young Achievers `C` Volleyball team cruised into the semi finals after walking over their Group three competitors at the Aracari Resort.
The Young Achievers `C` joined their club mates, Young Achievers `B` in the semi finals of the tournament by winning three games in succession against Castrol `A`, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) and Young Achievers `A` yesterday.
They began their hat-trick of wins with an easy straight set 21-10, 21-13 win over Castrol A and the faced little resistance from the GDF in winning 21-10, 21-13.
Next up was the battle of the Achievers between Young Achievers `C` and Young Achievers `A`.
The Young Achievers `A` tried but could not stop the `C` team in the match to decide the day’s semi finalist since both teams had secured two wins each.
Young Achievers `B` eventually lost 10-21 17-21.
In other results yesterday Young Achievers `B` defeated Castrol `A` 21-12, 21-11 and the GDF 21-11, 21-5.
Castrol `A` also got the better of the GDF side in the opening game of the day 21-10, 21-9.
The fourth and final semi finalist will be decided Saturday at the Aracari Resort with the Group four matches.
