The pairs of Keisha Jeffrey and Ashley Khali and Kayla Jeffrey and Jason Ray Khali advanced to the semi-finals of the girls and mixed doubles respectively at the VIII Pan American Junior Squash Championships in El Salvador.
According to reports, the pair of Keisha Jeffrey and Ashley Khalil “pulled off a heart stopping victory over Guatemala in the quarter finals of the female doubles.”
Keisha Jeffrey and Ashley Khalil dropped the first set 10/11 but won the next two sets 11/6, 11/9.
They will now face a pair from Ecuador in the semifinal.
Jason Ray Khali and Kayla Jeffrey also won their mixed doubles quarter-finals against a pair from Guatemala.
After winning the first set 11/10, Jason Ray Khalil and Kayla Jeffrey lost the second set 9/11 before stamping their authority on the third 11/6.
They will have to face either heavyweights Mexico or the host nation El Salvador in the mixed doubles semifinal.
