An elderly man yesterday passed away after he was struck down by a motor car on Sunday. Dead is 68-year-old Ivor Tells of Huntley, Mahaicony, ECD.

According to a police press release, Tells was walking along the roadway at Airy Hall, Mahaicony on Sunday when he was struck down by a motor vehicle after the driver had swerved from a pedal cyclist.

The man was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he stayed until he passed away yesterday. Investigations are ongoing.
