PhotosSt Andrew’s Kirk undergoing faceliftBy Stabroek News June 27, 2010 St Andrew’s Kirk, at Brickdam and Avenue of the Republic, the oldest building in Georgetown continually in use for religious purposes, undergoing a much needed facelift yesterday. According to the National Trust website, the Dutch Reformed congregation laid the foundations for the church in 1811. However, they encountered financial difficulties and it was acquired by Scottish Presbyterians and was formally opened for service on 28 February 1818.Comments
