Vehicle Workshop scored a runaway 93 games to emerge winners of Banks DIH Inter-Department dominoes competition played recently at Thirst Park.
With defending champions Head Office eliminated in the preliminary round, Vehicle Workshop stole the spotlight in the 10-team playoff.
Linden Branch secured the runner-up position with 76 games while Sales ended in the cellar position with 69 games.
Leading the way for the winners were Joel Charles with 17 games while Suruj Ramkarran, Steven Souvenir and Orin Sandy supported with 16 games each.
Jomo Austin was the top scorer for Linden with 15 games while Sylvester Briggs and Rawle Adams secured 14 and 13 games respectively.
Shawn Fredericks scored 13 games for the losing Sales team.
Vehicle Workshop and Sales eliminated Berbice Branch while Linden drew a bye to the final.
The 10 teams contesting the playoffs were Vehicle Workshop, Linden, Sales, Berbice, Bartica, Essequibo, Carpenter Shop, Stores ‘A’ and ‘B’ and Banks Women.
The presentation of prizes will take place at Banks DIH Annual Awards ceremony.
