A man was found hanging from a tree in the Banks DIH Housing Scheme area, Georgetown a day after he was last seen.
Lyden Collins, 43, of 47 Princes Street, Georgetown was reportedly found hanging by his belt from the tree.
Police in a press release yesterday said that they are investigating the man’s death. The discovery, according to them, was made at about 8.05 am. Collins, they said, was a driver attached to a private security service. He was last seen driving a company vehicle on Saturday and it was found abandoned in the Industrial Site, Ruimveldt area at about 7 am that day.
When Stabroek News contacted Collins’ relatives via telephone yesterday, a man who identified himself as a brother of the deceased declined to comment.
