A housewife was gun-butted during an armed robbery at her Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara home around 10 am yesterday.
A senior police official in that Division told this newspaper that four men in a car pulled up in front of the house and identified themselves as Guyana Power and Light employees.
When the woman opened the door, the men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, barged in and demanded that she hand over valuables. They later escaped with a small amount of cash and jewellery but not before hitting her about the body.
The woman was later treated at the hospital and sent away.
Police are investigating both armed robberies.
