LONDON, (Reuters) – British shot putters Jamie Stevenson and Kieren Kelly have been banned for two years for refusing to undergo an out-of-competition test, UK Athletics said on Monday.
The pair were charged by UK Anti-Doping after their refusal to submit to testing on Jan. 9 this year.
“The athletes admitted the charge and accepted the consequences,” said a UK Athletics statement.
Kelly, 24, and Stevenson, 20, were third and fifth in the British rankings last season. The ban ends on Feb. 7,
