MONCTON, Canada, CMC- Grenadian Kirani James produced a sensational run to win the men’s 400 meters at the World Junior Championships last night.
The 17-year old clocked 45.89 seconds to cross the line first ahead of Hungary’s Marcell Dea`k Nagy (46.09) and american Errol Nolan (46.36).
James, a freshman at the University od Alabama, had easily won his semi-final on wednesday when he clocked 46.27 seconds to finish ahead of Germany’s Marco Kaiser.
Bahamian Shaunae Miller completed a sweep for the caribbean when she captured the women’s equivalent in 52.52 seconds.
