The Magic Fingers Drumming School will hold an appreciation concert at the African Cultural and Development Association (ACDA), Thomas Lands today and the public is being encouraged to attend.
The programme starts at 4 pm.
After a five-month practice session of learning the techniques of this fading art along with its history, the students will be showcasing what they have learnt so far. They will be awarded with trophies and medals for their efforts.
The Drumming School headed by certified drummers, Orlando and Kirt Primo opened its doors earlier this year. The aim behind the initiative is to revitalise and reintroduce the African culture and assists students to remain connected with their African roots, traditions and the importance of drumming.
