Armed bandits struck at the Ramroop Bond on Friday night and after holding the security guard at gunpoint escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said yesterday that they are investigating the armed robbery which occurred around 21:10 hrs at the Water Street location.
Investigations have so far revealed that two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, held up the security guard on duty and broke into two parked Canter trucks.
An undisclosed sum of cash from built-in canisters was removed.
Police are continuing investigations into the incident.
