Guyana’s male Under-17 footballers yesterday defeated Aruba 7-0 in their final match of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) World Cup qualifiers in Dominica yesterday.
The win enabled Guyana to top the group on goal aggregate and ensure the team’s progress to the next round which is expected to be held in Jamaica.
The Netherland Antilles which went into yesterday’s encounter against Dominica with a one goal advantage over Guyana defeated the Dominicans by a 3-1margin.
Guyana topped the group after drawing 2-2 with the Netherlands Antilles and swamping Dominica 5-0 in their other two matches.
