Torginol Paints Inc, a member of the Continental Group of Companies is celebrating 50 years with a countrywide promotion.
According to press release the celebrations started off with a cocktail reception at the Pegasus Hotel and will continue with endorsements which will give the public a chance to win prizes such as ATVs, motorcycles, and flat screen television sets. The drawing for this promotion is set for August 31.
At the reception, former Company Secretary at Continental Mohamed Shaeed gave a brief history of Torginol Paints and closing remarks were made by Dindial Shaw, a former employee who also shared his experiences working with the late SK Puri.
The release said Prime Minister Samuel Hinds, Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee, Minister of Labour Manzoor Nadir and Commerce Minister Manniram Prashad attended the reception.
Torginol Paints was opened in 1960 by the then Minister of Trade Joyclyn Hubbard.
