As part of the school’s 25th anniversary celebration, President’s College alumni are launching several initiatives including an endowment fund to benefit current pupils as the former students look to give back to their alma mater.
A number of these activities will be done at the college on August 6 and 7 and include the launch of a bursary and the donation of equipment and supplies to the school. It is also intended that a public volunteering and mentoring programme to benefit the neighboring community and current and future students be launched.
A reunion weekend is being held from August 6-8 with the planned activities including an opening ceremony at the college’s campus on August 6 and a commemorative ceremony the same evening at the National Cultural Centre.
Later that night an Alumni Hang will be held at Camp Ayanganna while a formal gala dinner and ball will be held at the same venue the following evening. A Day of Sports will be held on August 8 also at Camp Ayanganna.
