Sponsors dish out support for Reece

Berbice’s top junior cyclist and captain of the Flying Ace Cycling Club, Neil Reece, has been selected by the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) to represent Guyana at the Junior Caribbean Championships which will be held in Aruba on August 7 and 8.

Reece along with four others cyclists including his club mate Marica Dick will depart Guyana on August 6 for the two-day championships.

Reece will be participating in the junior cycling events at the upcoming championships and, in light of his venture to attain a gold medal, the corporate community has gotten on board to aid the cyclist.

Cops Security Services recently made a monetary contribution to Reece which was presented by Priya Rampersaud, administrator of Cops Guyana Limited, Berbice branch, in the presence of his coach Randolph Roberts.

Roberts will accompany Reece to Aruba and will serve as coach of the team.

The two had to raise $118,000 each for their tickets, but, with assistance  from sponsors their monetary target has been reached.

Reece and Roberts are grateful for the generous contributions and expressed thanks to the other businesses in Regions five and six and in Georgetown  that aided their venture.
