Gary Hillman, chairman of Cray Wanderers Football Club which will oppose Guyana’s Golden Jaguars in an exhibition game this Sunday in England is confident of victory.
According to Hillman, his side will batter Guyana 3-0.
“We are going to batter Guyana 3-0 on Sunday,” Hillman Chairman of the second oldest football club in history said yesterday.
The game, organized by Temptations Promotions in association with GT Promotions, will be held at the Dulwich Hamlet Ground, London SE22.
The match is being held to commemorate Cray Wanderers 150th anniversary.
“My team Cray Wanderers are playing really well at the moment and won again at the weekend,” Hillman added.
“We are going to batter Guyana so they better not bother getting on the plane over here,” Hillman charged.
It is rumored that the club has begun resting its “big gun players” so they will be 100% fresh to play Guyana on Sunday.
And, although Hillman and Khan are friends, their friendships has been put aside and at the moment the pair are not talking Khan told Stabroek Sport yesterday.
“We are not talking currently. However I expect us to shake hands at the end of the fixture.
“Let’s see if Hillman can shake my hand once Guyana wins on Sunday,” Khan told Stabroek Sport yesterday.
Khan believes the Guyana team selected is good enough to beat Cray Wanderers by two clear goals once the players believe and live up to their ability.
He is appealing for support from the fans.
“The Guyana football team needs your support. We are calling out Guyanese and Caribbean nationals in London to come out and roar for the Golden Jaguars,” Khan said.
